Join us in-person downtown at the Archaeology Southwest Headquarters or online via Zoom Webinar on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, when Skylar Begay (Director, Tribal Collaboration in Outreach & Advocacy) will discuss “Looking Back at the Path Laid Down.” Since he was a young adult, Skylar Begay has built and maintained trails on the public lands of Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. He will share his knowledge about how trails are laid down, how they are cared for, and how trails continue to play a part in his personal and professional life. He will also cover the importance of including Indigenous voices and perspectives in interpretive trails and how Archaeology Southwest collaborates with Tribes to do so.
