Blue Lotus and the School of Dance at the University of Arizona are proud to present boundary migratory this Saturday, Nov 2, 2024 between 5pm - 8pm at Blue Lotus, 15 East Pennington; Tucson, AZ 85701.

This is a one-night only premier of movement sculptures created by Cyrus in response to the paintings of abstract expressionist Arthur Monroe.  Feel free to stop by during the art walk to experience this unique opportunity.

boundary migratory—created by Cyrus, a curator, multidisciplinary artist and Director of the School of Dance at the University of Arizona—is a series of sculptural movement studies performed by U of A dancers that will explore ideas of movement within and through space, particularly for Black and Brown bodies. The work asks who has the right to move and through what spaces? The “moving sculptures” will converse with, honor, and explore the work of Arthur Monroe, currently on display at the Blue Lotus Artist Collective in downtown Tucson.
