On September 3, 2023 a traumatic car accident caused Chezale to experience a T12 spinal cord injury which required reconstructive surgery. In response to this life changing event, Chezale and her amazing partner Wade launched ChezSpirit, a home ("chez") of a spirit of hope, heart and healing vibras (vibes) as well as a crowdfunding source to maximize the opportunity for Chezale to have full access to the resources needed for a complete recovery. These include ongoing health care costs across multiple modalities of therapy, training, medical supplies, and specialized equipment that are unfortunately rarely covered by health insurance. This event will be a series of performances by musicians, dancers, poets and artists that love and respect Chezale to support her in her ongoing recovery.
