Cinema Tucsón presents I Am Mario at the Fox Tucson Theatre, an intimate and moving portrait of self-determination and transformation from director Sharon Kleinberg. At 40, Mario, a transgender taxi driver and taekwondo master, faces an unexpected pregnancy that challenges everything he knows about identity, masculinity, and family. Featuring a Best Actor Award-winning performance by non-professional actor Oustin de León from the Guadalajara Film Festival, this powerful film also took home the festival’s Maguey Award for Best LGBTQIA+ Film.
