Join Julie Sasse as she discusses works from the TMA modern and contemporary collection that address issues of time within the context of the museum’s Centennial exhibition Time Travelers. Multiple perspectives will be examined, including the aging body, appropriation of symbols and images from past eras and cultures, and memory. Artists highlighted in her talk include Harmony Hammond, Margaret Bailey Doogan, Denise Yaghmourian, Kara Walker, Terence La Noue, and James Havard, to name a few.
Lecture admission is $5 or free for members and students.
