Cyclovia Tucson, celebrating its 20th occasion, is part of a global Open Streets Movement. Open streets events temporarily re-purpose public streets by closing them to all car traffic for a short amount of time, making them available and inclusive for all people. Whether you choose to walk, bike, e-bike, skate, roll, scoot, skip, or use any other form of non-fossil-fueled transport, people of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in Cyclovia. It is not a race and there is no start and no finish. Cyclovia happens twice per year in Tucson, each time bringing a new neighborhood to life by engaging our diverse community around healthy mobility, visioning, learning, and fun activities. Cyclovia reminds us that streets are our largest public space, and as such should be safe, accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable places for all people to connect, both to destinations and to one another, and aims to inspire a wide range of positive social changes. Cyclovia is hosted by Living Streets Alliance - a Tucson nonprofit that works in close collaboration with the City of Tucson and a wide range of sponsors and supporters from across the Tucson community, including the amazing folks who come out to enjoy this event in their own way.
