On this tour we stroll past the charming historic mansions of the El Presidio, also know as Snob Hollow, as we discuss the fascinating tales of Tucson's Pioneer Founders and prominent citizens. We will see several works by architect Henry Trost. Next we stroll past a recreated section of adobe wall as we chat about Tucson's Spanish Colonial history as a walled Presidio. Guests will enjoy a visit to the Historic Pima County Courthouse to to hear the tales of John Dillinger, then visit the bandstand to hear of a famous western outlaw who partied the night away in Tucson shortly before a very historic gunfight! We wrap the tour up in west downtown to learn of the only remaining southwest art deco styled theatre and the stories of mid century entrepreneurs and downtown department store tycoons who gained national acclaim, plus the tales of a downtown luxury hotel!
