On the first Thursday of the month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. First Thursday is designed to complement and enhance TMA’s exhibitions and permanent collection while reflecting the diversity of the community, making art more accessible. With the goal to widen our reach, programs encourage community members to “come for the activities and experiences but stay for the art.” Programs include guest artists, live music, performances, artmaking, unique opportunities to explore the gallery, a cash bar serving beer and wine, and partnerships with local organizations.
