FORGE at Roy Place is the University of Arizona's "front door" to downtown Tucson. Originally built in 1929, as a Montgomery Ward department store by noted architect Roy Place, the building has served many purposes over the years. FORGE Founding Executive Director Brian Ellerman envisioned the building as a hub for growing entrepreneurs and took on the challenge of repurposing the space. In March of 2020, the renovations were completed. Since then, the space has been growing steadily over the years in its programs and services to support cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset.

Join us for food, drinks, and a variety of activities to get to know FORGE, our resident companies, our community partners, our staff, our programs, and more!

We're kicking the event off with remarks from UA President Dr. Robert C. Robbins and Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Elizabeth "Betsy" Cantwell. Hear how RII and FORGE (Finding Opportunities and Resources to Grow Entrepreneurs) are cultivating entrepreneurial mindset everywhere the University of Arizona has a presence.

Get to know our services and facilities by meeting with up-and-coming company founders at the FORGE Ahead Fair, visit our Community Partner showcase, attend lightning talks with FORGE Mentors in Residence, find your own "entrepreneurial superpower" at our self-assessment selfie station, take part in a mini-maker fair and more.

We can't wait to see you there!
