Elise Moore, a member of the Tucson Civil War Roundtable, tells the story of two amazing women who played a major role for the Union during the Civil War. Hear from Moore about Elizabeth Van Lew, an abolitionist, who ran a sophisticated spy ring for the Union from Richmond, Virginia. Mary Bowser, a former slave, was able to infiltrate the home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis by posing as an enslaved servant.
