What to Bring:
Drawing utensils, sketch pad, plain T-shirt (to print on), some water to drink and a mind ready to illustrate!
Manga Studio is the first illustration workshop in an ongoing Manga/Anime illustration series created by arts educator Gerrie Young, MFA. Gerrie lived in Japan for 4 years.
In this 2 hour per day workshop, participants will learn to draw the basics of Manga illustration techniques and explore the genres of manga comic book illustration. On Day 2, participants will learn how to make linoprint cells and print them on to their t-shirts.
This workshop is great for artists of all ages and skill levels who want to learn this style of Japanese comic book illustration. Cosplay is welcome and encouraged.
