Details
Nosferatu (1922), directed by F. W. Murnau, is the cornerstone of horror cinema, presented in an HD edition mastered from the acclaimed 35mm restoration. An unauthorized adaptation of Dracula, it features Max Schreck’s Graf Orlok, a spidery, taloned nightmare and perhaps the most disturbing vampire ever filmed. Unusually for expressionism, Murnau shot on location in the Carpathian mountains, infusing the story with nature’s pure and sinister tones. Brett Valliant, resident organist at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa and 2021 Organist of the Year, provides live accompaniment.
