Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people. Join us for games, pop-up food vendors, pollinator pocket parks and a protected bike lane demonstration. Downtown Tucson Partnership is activating two parklet spaces with ping pong, giant chess, giant jenga, corn hole, hammocks, and swag giveaways!
The Tucson Park(ing) Day is organized by Arizona Chapter ASLA Southern Section, University of Arizona Student Chapter ASLA, Wheat Design Group, and the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility.
