Remember the 90’s music landscape with bands cranking out alternative rock with searing guitar melodies? Then you may remember Pet The Fish’s heavy presence on the University of Arizona music scene spawning from the influences of Tucson’s own Sidewinders/Sandrubies as well as others of that genre. The band had success opening for the likes of Weezer, Dave Matthews, Da Da, Tripping Daisy, and The Samples to name a few. PTF also shared the stage with Tempe bands such as The Refreshments, Rain Convention, Pistoleros and Satellite. The band’s debut album BtaaaK sold well through Zia records at the time as the band gained momentum touring in throughout the southwest. The band’s progress halted when co-founder Steve McLaughlin went on to play in the NFL. Now McLaughlin, Aaron Smith, Tony Bernard, Damon Bolin and Mark Lindholm reunite to mostly make up the bands original lineup to perform only the 2nd reunion show since the band dismantled in 1998.
