The Agave Heritage Festival is a four-day celebration dedicated to the agave plant and its deep roots in the culture, economy, and traditions of the Arizona–Mexico borderlands. Blending education, sustainability, and hands-on experiences, the festival brings together a wide range of events designed to highlight the many ways agave shapes our region and beyond.
What began in 2008 as a tequila-focused Cinco de Mayo gathering has grown into a dynamic, multi-day festival that explores agave from every angle. Today, attendees can take part in expert-led seminars, guided field excursions, trade showcases, culinary experiences, art exhibitions, and tastings featuring rare and distinctive agave spirits. The festival offers a unique opportunity to connect with the people, stories, and traditions behind this remarkable plant.
With programming that spans a variety of interests, the Agave Heritage Festival invites locals and visitors alike to discover, learn, and celebrate!
