The 7th Annual Haiku Hike, presented by the Downtown Tucson Partnership and the University of Arizona Poetry Center, features 20 winning haiku displayed on acrylic signs in planters along Congress Street and Stone Avenue. This seasonal literary trail runs from March 20, 2026 (the first day of spring) to June 1, offering a unique way to explore and rediscover Tucson’s vibrant downtown!

While the Haiku Hike is a self-guided display throughout the spring, you're invited to join this year's judge, Paola Valenzuela, the University of Arizona Poetry Center and the Downtown Tucson Partnership for a special community stroll on Saturday, March 21, at 9 a.m. Join the the 20 selected winners as they read their haikus to the public and celebrate this years contest!
