The Taco 5K route begins on historic 4th Avenue, winds through the heart of Downtown Tucson, and continues west toward the vibrant Mercado District. Participants will stroll through some of Tucson’s most walkable and energetic areas, enjoying taco stops, music, and community along the way. The route connects multiple local business corridors, creating a festive, citywide celebration at a deliciously slow pace.

Join us in Downtown Tucson on Saturday, April 4 for the Taco 5K — the World’s Slowest 5K. This is not a race, but a fun, food-filled walking tour through the heart of downtown, designed for all ages and fitness levels.
Participants will follow a festive route featuring downtown favorites including La Chingada and Street Taco, along with additional partner stops along the way. Expect music, colorful outfits, great food, and approximately 700 walkers bringing energy and foot traffic to the district.
The Taco 5K celebrates local businesses, community, and experiencing downtown Tucson at a deliciously slow pace.
