Details
The Treasury 1929 will host an unforgettable evening of live vocal performance and fine dining on Thursday, May 15, when soprano Kimberly Chaffin, tenor Francisco Rentería, and pianist Patricia Scordato take the stage for An Evening of Opera, Broadway & Beyond. Tickets are $130 and include a three-course dinner prepared by Chef Daniel Scordato of Vivace Restaurant, two live 30-minute concert performances, and all non-alcoholic beverages. Wine, beer, and craft cocktails are available for purchase. The Treasury 1929 is located at 2 E. Congress St. in downtown Tucson.
The program draws from grand opera, Broadway, and beloved standards, a sophisticated repertoire designed to move between the dramatic and the intimate, the familiar and the transcendent. Chaffin brings a career steeped in major operatic roles at the University of Arizona and years with the Arizona Opera Chorus. Rentería, a tenor who has performed with Arizona Opera and Phoenix Opera in productions including La Traviata, Rigoletto, and Aida, brings warmth and range to everything from Handel to Beethoven. Scordato, a decorated concert pianist who studied at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence and has taught piano for 45 years, anchors the evening with what promises to be an exceptional accompaniment.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The first performance begins at 6:30, followed by dinner service at 7:00, and a second performance at 8:15. The evening concludes at 8:45.
Business and cocktail attire are encouraged. All tickets must be purchased in advance at The Treasury 1929 website. No sales will be accepted at the door.. Guests select their seats and choose their three-course dinner at the time of purchase.
