Details

An interactive tasting built around a single question: what does food actually do to wine? Guests taste five wines on their own, then taste each one again with a light bite chosen to pair with it. A bite can soften acidity, push sweetness forward, pull out a hidden note, or remake the wine entirely. Pours are three ounces. Wines include Heinz Eifel Auslese Riesling (Mosel, Germany), Love Block Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand), Freemark Abbey Chardonnay (Napa Valley), Ridge "Three Valleys" Zinfandel (Sonoma), and Hess "Lion Tamer" Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley).
