Mark Insley brings his high octane blend of Americana and Outlaw Country music to Plaza stage!

Mark Insley has been a mainstay in Americana music for over 20 years with four critically acclaimed albums to his credit. He cut his teeth in the fertile Southern California music scene taking cues from Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and the Flying Burrito Brothers. He quickly became a favorite of producer Pete Anderson, who produced albums for Dwight Yoakum, Buck Owens and K.D. Lang.

Insley recorded his first album, Good Country Junk, with members of Dwight Yoakum’s band. His second and third albums, charted a grittier course and continued the tradition of Insley’s songs of love, life, desperation and sorrow. His third album, Tucson, spent 10 weeks in the top-ten on the Americana music chart. It was released on an independent label and brought him to the attention of an entire new audience. In 2020 Insley recorded his fourth album, Ten Cent Redemption, the only one he’s recorded in Tucson. The CD was recorded at Jim Brady’s studio, live in one take, no overdubs, using two-track mastering in a little over 5 hours.

Mark Insley has shared the stage with Rosie Flores, Jesse Dayton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Albert Lee, David Alan Coe, and many others. His high energy rocking “outlaw” country is in a league of its own. Insley will be joined by band mates Damon Barnaby, Duane Hollis, and Ernie Mendoza.
