Join artist Ignacio Garcia for a special evening celebrating the final public opportunity to experience his Urban Sonoran Collection as a complete body of work. Installed in early 2025 during the transformation of the former Johnny Gibson’s Downtown Market into the Gibson Food Hall & Market, the collection has been displayed on-site throughout the building’s redevelopment and will begin coming down in the weeks leading up to this event in preparation for its final exhibition and auction.
This ticketed event will bring the community together for an evening of art, food, drinks, and entertainment at The Grand, while offering a sneak peek of the upcoming food hall. The evening will also mark the conclusion of an online auction of the Urban Sonoran Collection, running March 23–28, with final announcements made during the event. Partial proceeds from the auction will benefit local community organizations, including downtown schools Imago Dei Middle School and City High School, as well as the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, among others.
