Looking for a Valentine’s Day experience that’s meaningful, creative, and a little unexpected? This bead string workshop offers the perfect hands-on date, inviting you to slow down, create together, and practice intentional kindness.
Spend two hours in our ceramic studio with one of our skilled studio assistants as you learn ceramic techniques used to create large clay beads for Ben’s Bells community art projects. You’ll explore carving, adding texture, attaching forms, and shaping details as you help create beads that will move through our “conveyor belt” of kindness. Each piece is later fired, painted, and placed on a Ben’s Bells bead string or Bell installation shared with the community.
You won’t go home empty-handed. After your studio session, you’ll select from a variety of completed ceramic beads and learn the final steps to assemble a custom bead string. Create multiple designs, choose your favorite to take home, and purchase additional bead strings if you’d like.
This Valentine’s Day workshop is ideal for couples, friends, or anyone looking to celebrate connection through creativity, collaboration, and kindness.
Important Notes
• Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy
• Please avoid jewelry such as watches and bracelets
• Class is limited to 10 participants, ages 10 and up
• Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
