Downtown Tucson, AZ, June 26, 2018 – The Downtown Tucson Development Report – Summer 2018 is now available! The report tracks development activity over the last 16 months and provides details about construction projects as well as new businesses.

Inside, you'll find impressive statistics in the “Development At A Glance” section.  An extensive listing and map of completed, current, and proposed development projects can be found in the “Development Update” and new homes to be completed soon are highlighted in the “Housing Forecast.” Last but not least, the “Business Trends” section details new commercial activity.

There are over 20 projects currently under construction in the greater Downtown area, including apartments, office buildings, retail space, restaurants and bars. Since the opening of the Sun Link streetcar, new businesses have opened at a brisk pace. Downtown has welcomed over 80 new businesses in the last three years!

“This is a time of unprecedented growth for Downtown Tucson—evidenced by the many cranes hovering over the city’s skyline. More than $360 million dollars in projects are underway and 32 new businesses are projected to open this year,” stated Kathleen Eriksen, CEO of the Downtown Tucson Partnership. “Simply put, Downtown Tucson is transforming right before our eyes.”
