Downtown Tucson Partnership Honored with Chasing Rainbows Award 2021 by the Fox Tucson Theatre
DOWNTOWN TUCSON, AZ, December 16, 2021 – The team at Downtown Tucson Partnership was thrilled to be honored at the 11th annual Chasing Rainbows Gala, hosted by the Fox Tucson Theatre. Fox Executive Director Bonnie Schock presented the Downtown Tucson Partnership with the Chasing Rainbows Award 2021 for the organization’s outstanding support and leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. DTP President & CEO Kathleen Eriksen and DTP Deputy Director Zach Baker were in attendance to receive the award.
“During a time when there was no rulebook to follow, the team at Downtown Tucson Partnership provided steady, yet flexible; focused, yet creative leadership that helped to keep our downtown together. Kathleen Eriksen, Zach Baker and everyone at DTP were efficient, supportive, collaborative, and always can-do in their approach to every possibility,” said Schock. “Their immediate response kept attention on the unique challenges for our downtown in the initial and then unexpectedly long days of capacity restrictions, helped to keep cash flowing, fostered connections and networks, and emphasized relationships to shape a truly innovative support system just right for a time that no one ever imagined.”
The Fox’s annual Chasing Rainbows Award recognizes individuals and organizations who support the Fox and the culture of Downtown Tucson in multiple ways through philanthropy, leadership, volunteerism, advocacy, and more.
