Holualoa Companies keeps DTP Gift Card Incentive Program going strong!

DOWNTOWN TUCSON, AZ, May 20, 2020 – The DTP Gift Card Incentive Program continues with another round of gift cards thanks to the generous support of Holualoa Companies. Holualoa Companies steps up to sponsor Round 8 scheduled to be released this Friday, May 22 at noon!

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer another round and bring gift card sales up to $280,000! Money is infused directly into the downtown businesses within days of the sale, helping them stay afloat during the pandemic,” said Kathleen Eriksen, President & CEO of the Downtown Tucson Partnership. “We’re incredibly grateful to Holualoa Companies for supporting small businesses in this time of need.”

Previous sponsors include the Downtown Tucson Partnership, Rio Nuevo, HSL Properties, Bourn Companies, Downtown Tucson Apartments and Presidio Tucson. Each sponsorship is $12,500 covering the cost of the $10 bonus for 1,000 cards per round in addition to administrative, processing and postage fees.

"Downtown Tucson Partnership's gift card program has been an amazing lifeline during this global crisis. We are so fortunate to be able to take part. The additional funds have been crucial to our business survival as we navigate through these uncertain times. The sales have far exceeded our expectations, supplying an extra cushion at just the time it was needed," said Mark Jorbin, owner of Café à La C'Art.

Under the program, people buy a gift card worth $35 for only $25. That $10 incentive is made possible through the support of a sponsor. Nearly 60 businesses are participating, including restaurants, museums, breweries, boutiques, grocers, salons, spas, gyms and more.

The sale goes live Friday, May 22 at noon. Customers are encouraged to sign on right at noon as the gift cards sell out fast! Visit downtowntucson.org for more information and a link to purchase the gift cards online.
