DOWNTOWN TUCSON, AZ, October, 14, 2019 – Celebrate the spirit of the holiday season by walking, riding, pedaling or even dancing your way through downtown as the annual Parade of Lights – with a new title sponsor, Mister Car Wash -- celebrates its 25th anniversary on November 30. Apply online here by November 8.
“The Annual Parade of Lights & Festival brings thousands of people from all walks of life together to celebrate the holiday season downtown,” said Kathleen Eriksen, President & CEO of the Downtown Tucson Partnership. “We’re thrilled to have Mister Car Wash as the parade’s new title sponsor, and we are looking forward to more lights than ever, more creativity, and more holiday spirit.”
Start times, entertainment schedule and other details for the November 30 festival and parade will be announced in early November.
Festivities will begin in Jácome Plaza with local multicultural entertainment, musicians, food vendors, games and the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Then, the parade will go through the heart of downtown on Stone Avenue, Pennington Street, 6th Avenue and Toole Avenue. More than 70 entries trimmed with lights -- from parading pups to holiday floats, businesses, marching bands, and dance and bike groups -- are expected to compete for prizes.
“The annual Parade of Lights & Festival is one of the many things that make this community shine,” said Megan Everett, Director of Marketing for Mister Car Wash. “It’s our way of celebrating the rich culture and traditions of the city that we’re proud to call home.”
