Rio Nuevo Tucson Craft Beer Crawl returns downtown on February 15

Rio Nuevo Tucson Craft Beer Crawl returns downtown on February 15.

Featuring 12 local venues and over 30 craft brewers in this walkable downtown festival that raises thousands for local non-profits.

January 22, 2020 (TUCSON, AZ) - On February 15, downtown Tucson will be ‘crawling’ with craft beer fans for the return of the annual Tucson Craft Beer Crawl (TCBC), offering fans a chance to sample the state’s best craft beers while exploring 12 different downtown venues on foot. Through ticket sales, the event raises approximately $10,000 annually for charities––including flagship charity Watershed Management Group (WMG)––with this year's event projected to increase the lifetime total donation to over $50,000.

The proceeds will fund WMG’s River Run Network, a community of people working together to restore Tucson's heritage of flowing creeks and rivers, restoring the Santa Cruz River and its tributaries. The Rialto Theatre and Arizona Craft Brewers Foundations will also receive a portion of funds raised.

“Water is essential to our most favorite things, from craft beer to fresh local food to our gorgeous Sonoran Desert,” said Lisa Shipek, Executive Director of WMG. “We’re honored to receive proceeds from the event to support our work to restore year-round flow to Sabino and Tanque Verde Creeks.”

Now in its 6th year, the end cap event for Arizona Beer Week will expand to more than 30 brewers and 12 venues, with approximately 1,200 guests attending the crawl in the Downtown Tucson area.

There are two levels of tickets for the crawl. The general admission ticket ($40 online, $50 at the door) includes 30 drink tickets, a commemorative tasting glass, and access to all venues along the route. A VIP ticket ($70 online, $75 at the door) sponsored by Illegal Pete’s includes everything in the general admission ticket, as well as free parking at the Tyndall Garage, a free breakfast or lunch burrito at the Illegal Pete’s pre-party, early check-in, and access to a secret VIP venue with complimentary snacks and samples.

The Rio Nuevo Tucson Craft Beer Crawl is sponsored by Rio Nuevo and Illegal Pete’s.
