Arthur Vint

Drummer Arthur Vint last performed at the Tucson Jazz Festival in 2016, leading a 9-piece band from New York City performing music from his debut album, "Through The Badlands." This year, Arthur will lead a quintet made up of Arizona's finest jazz musicians including bassist Chris Finet, pianist Angelo Versace, guitarist Matt Mitchell and local saxophone legend Brice Winston (Terrance Blanchard, Nicholas Payton.) The band will perform material from his forthcoming album "Copper State," a rumination on the varied landscapes and mythologies of Arizona.

Arthur has spent the better part of 15 years living and working in NYC, where he was a freelance drummer and also a bartender at the world-famous Village Vanguard jazz club. He was instrumental in the realization of creating a jazz club in downtown Tucson, so it is only fitting that his band play at the grand opening of The Century Room!
