Stews Shoes is a 501(c)3 organization that was formed to serve families of children with disabilities. In the past we have distributed adaptive shoes and clothing to Arizona families paid for through our fundraising efforts.

"I wanted to be part of the world but I didn't see anyone like me in it." -Jimmy Lebrecht

Inspired by the documentary "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution", Stews Shoes would like to host in person gatherings for children with disabilities so they can be themselves, be social, and experience downtown Tucson on their terms. Over the last 18 months, children have been isolated to a degree never before experienced. This is even more true for children with disabilities who already tended to be isolated in many different aspects of their lives. The affects of a disability are shared with the whole family: parents who must learn and apply disability law and siblings who bear the burden of care. Let's give these kids an opportunity to just be kids and let's give these families some time to come together with a community that understands.
