Tucson Comic-Con is Taking Over Downtown Tucson!

Your guide to one of Tucson’s biggest weekends for comics, cosplay, gaming, and all things pop culture!

Dust off the cosplay, assemble your crew, and get ready to geek out! Tucson Comic-Con returns to the Tucson Convention Center September 4 – 6 for its 17th year, bringing three days of comics, celebrity guests, gaming, cosplay, panels, shopping, and plenty of surprises to Downtown Tucson!

This year, Comic-Con is going bigger than ever with an expanded exhibit hall and more than 100 hours of programming planned throughout the weekend. From meeting some of pop culture's most recognizable faces and discovering your next favorite comic artist to showing off your cosplay, competing in games, or shopping for one-of-a-kind finds, there's something waiting around nearly every corner. And once the convention doors close, the fun continues with Comic-Con-inspired events and specials happening throughout Downtown Tucson.

Meet Some Pop Culture Icons!

This year's guest list brings together familiar faces from across comics, television, movies, wrestling, and more! Headlining the weekend is William Shatner, who joins Tucson Comic-Con as Star Trek celebrates its 60th anniversary! Fans can also look forward to appearances from E.G. Daily of Rugrats, Deep Roy of Star Wars, The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno, and more!

Comic fans have plenty to get excited about, too! The industry guest lineup includes legendary writer and artist Jim Starlin, creator of Marvel characters including Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, and Gamora, and dozens of other creators and artists!

There’s More Than Autographs to Enjoy!

Between panels, gaming, cosplay, shopping, and interactive experiences, there’s no shortage of ways to fill your weekend! Explore the exhibit hall packed with artists, creators, vendors, collectibles, and other finds before diving into a full weekend of panels and activities. Gamers can head to the Gaming Hall for tabletop games, RPGs, video games, miniature painting, and more!

Coming in costume? Saturday brings the Adult Costume Contest, followed by the Youth Costume Contest on Sunday. Fans can also step into the Comic-Con Immersive Experience for free photo ops featuring everything from Halo Spartans and movie-accurate Star Wars droids to Marvel and DC characters, Ghostbusters, and fairy tale favorites. There are even scavenger hunts happening throughout the convention, plus a hands-on Art Zone offering free creative classes for attendees!

Keep the Party Going Downtown!

When the convention floor closes, you don't have to call it a night! Comic-Con weekend spills into Downtown Tucson with after-hours events, special offers, and plenty of opportunities to keep the fandom going at venues just beyond the Tucson Convention Center!

Head to the Rialto Theatre for the Bop to the Top Dance Party on Friday night with special discounts available to Comic-Con wristband holders. On Saturday, Hotel Congress and Club Congress are hosting the Tucson Comic-Con Official After Party, produced and curated by Good Day Good Night. Flash your Comic-Con wristband for free admission and keep the celebration going with music, cosplay, drink specials, and plenty of fellow fans!

Looking for something a little more interactive? Cobra Arcade Bar is getting in on the fun Friday and Saturday night! Show your Comic-Con ticket or badge to score free arcade tokens, and don't be afraid to arrive in costume! Over at Unicorn Zebra, Crazy Chicken Comics takes over Friday night for a special Cosplay Karaoke Night featuring comic-themed drink specials and raffles. Prefer your after-hours entertainment on the big screen? The Screening Room joins the weekend lineup Saturday at 7pm with the full-length premiere of Wasteland Cop!
