Details
#8 on Turquoise Trail Map: This house museum was once owned by the Sosa-Carrillo families; the oldest part of the structure was built in the 1850s. The Sonoran row house contains an excellent example of a zaguán, a central hall leading from the front to the rear yard. The mission fig in the courtyard was probably planted in the 1700s. This house museum is run by Los Descendientes del Presidio de Tucson; hours are Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and some Wednesdays. The building also houses the offices of Borderlands Theater.
