Details
"The People" is an exhibit that portrays the neighbors of Tucson artist George Strasburger. Often considered people "on the fringe", Strasburger posits that they are in fact, if you walk my streets or take the bus, mainstream . The representations are realist and ennobling, with undertones that are psychological, political and biblical. It is especially fitting for this show to be at the library because many of the library patrons are characteristic of the demographic, making it "of the people and for the people."
