Business Owner Demographic Survey
Part of SMART Goal #5 in DTP's Strategic Diversity Plan
In the summer of 2023, the Downtown Tucson Partnership's Social Justice Committee conducted a survey to analyze the demographic characteristics of business owners in Downtown Tucson. The survey received 87 responses from business owners representing 83 unique downtown businesses. Of the responses, 62% came from targeted businesses classified as "Traditional Ground Floor Restaurants, Shops, and Service Providers."

All responses were included in aggregate data and individual responses will be kept confidential. This data will not be used for discriminatory purposes. Only staff of the Downtown Tucson Partnership will have access to this information.
This survey is an initial step in developing a plan to recruit more diverse business owners to downtown, part of SMART Goal #5 in DTP's Strategic Diversity Plan.
