Soul Essential celebrates Soul and R&B that impacted our lives - that remind us of that first summer we heard those songs - presenting fresh updates and inspiring new material cut from the same cloth. From 70s New York funk to a memorable blend of Chicago Blues and R&B, Soul Essential takes you down memory lane with a smooth blend of select songs, sweet harmony, outstanding groove and professional presentation.
Eric Charles
Eric Charles began playing guitar in his teens with Robert Lee Herbert, an alumni of Luther Allison's Blues review. Charles lived and performed in Europe for almost a decade. He based himself in Brussels, recording and playing with a selection of Europe’s finest musicians while fronting the Eric Charles Group.
Amy V
Amy V worked with Bobby Taylor (of Sam Taylor fame) and ultimately her own spinoff music-dance project “Antourage”, which performed events and festivals, notably opening for the Gap Band and Dazz Band. Amy co-founded Soul Essential, managing, singing and writing.
