Blue Lotus Artists' Collective (BLAC)  Grand Opening and BLOC Party  is on November 3, 2023, from 5:30- 8:30PM at 15 E. Pennington Street. The public is invited to attend the BLOC party and view the gallery exhibits which will feature world renown artist Jacob Lawrence whose works tell stories of both everyday life and black history and Nikesha Breeze of Taos, New Mexico who uses her work to reclaim and honor Black history and culture. This mixed media collection will showcase a variety of installations, paintings, and soft sculptures, all exploring the theme of Blackness.

Come celebrate with us!  There will be Soul Food Trucks, Books for sale, and one of the best DJ’s in town!!

"We are thrilled to be able to showcase the art and talent of these two groundbreaking artists," said Laura Pendleton Miller, founder of the Blue Lotus Artists' Collective. "Their work is truly inspiring, and we hope that visitors to the gallery will be inspired by their creativity, vision and moving portrayal of black history and culture.  The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with the art and ideas of these dynamic artists.
